Temenos, a leading Anguilla resort and one of the island’s so called ‘super-villas’, is in fact three villas that stand above the fantastic sands of Long Bay on Anguilla’s north shore. They are the most recent incarnation in Anguilla’s line of extraordinary abstract architecture (and the flagship of a huge development to come around the golf course on the island). Pretty much identical, the villas stand in their own pretty compound above the beach, each with four suites (of the same standard), with spectacular bathrooms and with every touch of luxury and modern technology. The word temenos means sanctuary in Greek and there is definitely a feel of that here, but of course the activity and culinary pleasures of Anguilla are within an easy trip too.
