The Ritz-Carlton Jamaica is a resort that is big both in stature – it is one of the leading hotels on the island – and also in size. It has over 400 rooms set in a series of large buildings that stand staggered above the seafront in Rose Hall, a few miles east of Montego Bay. It is a grand and imposing hotel, with an international feel. Its extremely comfortable rooms and suites, which overlook the lawns and large pool, have a classic, metropolitan air, and there can be a slight corporate atmosphere (they have plenty of conferences). The resort also has a huge range of facilities, including a spa, children’s centre, event facilities and a golf course set on the rising grounds inland. As one of only three Caribbean hotels with a AAA Five Diamond Hotel award in 2005, the Ritz-Carlton offers reliable and well known levels of high comfort and top knotch service.
